Namibian police chief Joseph Shikongo says they will send out 5 000 officers countrywide during the 27 November elections.
“We will deploy 5 000 officers on election day,” he says.
Shikongo on Wednesday addressed the media after casting his vote.
He joined hundreds of officers from the police, correctional services and defence force at Van Rhijn Primary School in Windhoek West.
