The top 12 battled it out for the crown at the Windhoek Country Club and Resort in the capital.
Jada Tati was the first runner up and Jordan Strauss the second runner up.
Karsten also won the Miss Debutant title.
At the event, the previous winner Alexis Swart handed over the crown. The show was broadcast live on NBC and social media, with show hosts former Miss Namibia and Miss Universe Michelle McLean and Franklin Shitaleni.
The judges were Andeline Wieland (principal judge), Beaulah Boois-Beukes, Nadja Breytenbach, Lafika Joyce Heita and Ilke Platt.
Karsten is in Grade 11 at Windhoek Afrikaanse Privaatskool in Windhoek.
"I entered for Miss Teen Namibia 2022 because I believe the pageant will give me the platform I need to be an example and to reach out to the youth of Namibia. I want to inform and assist them with issues that are part of our daily lives,” she said.
Karsten said during her reign, she would inform and motivate the youth and people of Namibia to become blood donors.
“To me, donating blood is very important. I want to inspire the youth to join me and help save lives. You never know when it's your turn to rely on someone else's blood,” she said.
Karsten's favourite saying was inspired by her mother. “It is a quote from a movie 'Dead poets society with Robin Williams (1989)' – 'I want to suck out all the marrow from life so that when I come to die, do not discover that have not lived” (Henry David Thomas – 1854). In other words, 'live life to the fullest',” she said.
