GOVERNORS from across the country are visiting key government projects, private investments and community initiatives in the //Kharas region under the Governor’s Forum.
Host governor Aletta Frederick said they aim to exchange ideas and strategies in solving crises such as unemployment, poverty and hunger.
“We all face similar challenges as governors. Therefore, we want to join hands and work together to improve employment creation, sourcing funding for large-scale projects and address food security,” said Fredericks.
She noted that for Hardap and //Kharas regions, the emphasis is on developing the agricultural potential of the two regions to empower smallholder farmers to create jobs.
The 14 governors will tour industrial parks, the Neckartal Dam and Vedanta Skorpion zinc mine, among others, during their four-day visit that started on Monday.
