‘Uncalled’ to be launched this Saturday

‘Uncalled’, a fiction novel following the life of Ndapewa Kamati, a 21-year-old university student, will be launched this Saturday.

The book is written by young Namibian author Delila Katanga and will be launched at Jan Mohr Secondary School in Windhoek. The event kicks off at 16h00 and copies of the book will be available for purchase.

Katanga is a university student who is currently in her second year of a bachelors in communications. She is also a radio personality who believes writing offers an escape from reality and can be used as a tool for teaching life lessons.

“The book tackles social issues such as violence, touching on both social and intimate relationships as well as toxic masculinity. The novel showcases how everything is not always as it seems. We tend to judge a book by its cover, but there could be a variety of factors at play,” she said.
