CHRIS Chameleon and Daniella Deysel are ‘Kat en Wolf’ in a musical project which was born from the desire of both artists to fly freer on the wings of their imagination, with sound, images and costuming outside the confines of their established names.
In ‘Kat en Wolf’ Chris and Daniella break away from the convention of their respective corpuses and slaughter the holy cows of expectation, the self incarceration of own achievements and the pressures to produce for certain tastes that so often haunt those who make the ridiculous decision to pursue a career in the music business.
Kat and Wolf are not afraid of the darkness, aren’t squeamish at the sight of blood, are serious about playing and play with seriousness. Compositions of sections of die Handwoordeboek van die Afrikanse Taal (HAT), art history books, the electricity of sexuality and the search for the most meaningful exploration of false singing are but some aspects of this unusual concert adventure.
And, of course, the pair usually allow a few random audience requests of their favourites.
The pair will be at The Warehouse Theatre on Wednesday, 14 March at 19h00.
Tickets for ‘Kat en Wolf’ are available at eventstoday.com.na, PayToday, Airtime City kiosks or at the Warehouse Theatre in advance, alternatively tickets can be purchased at the door.
