Eight babies were delivered at the Oshakati State Hospital by 18h00 on Christmas Day.
Rosalia Wapota, a registered nurse who was on duty during the births, told Nampa on Friday the first baby was born at 08h04 to the 22-year-old Foibe Malakia from Uutsima village in Uukwambi.
The healthy baby boy weighed 2,9 kilogrammes and was delivered naturally.
Of the eight babies born, five were boys and three, girls.
Wapota said seven of the babies were born via caesarean section.
All deliveries went well and no complications were recorded.
“Everything was wonderful, the deliveries were a delight as one always wants them to be,” she said.
