Namibia drawn in tough group

Namibia has been drawn in a tough group along with Nigeria, Zambia and the Ivory Coast for the tn Mobile CAF African Women Championships.

As the hosts, Namibia automatically entered the draw in Group A, while South Africa, as the top ranked team in the tournament, headed Group B.

The other teams which were drawn to play in Group B are Cameroon, Algeria and Ghana.

The draw, which was made at the Windhoek Country Club on Saturday night, was attended by delegations of all eight the countries that will be in action at the championships from 11 to 25 October 2014.

Other dignitaries who attended the launch included Prime Minister Hage Geingob, the Deputy Secretary General of the Confederation of African Football, Essam Ahmed, the vice president of CAF Molefi Oliphant and the president of the NFA John Muinjo, amongst others.
