This was confirmed by the Khomas police spokesperson warrant officer Silas Shipandeni.
According to Shipandeni, an unknown woman entered the toilet and allegedly aborted a baby, wrapped it in a white plastic and put the plastic in a pink handbag.
“As it can be seen on CCTV camera on 10 October 2022 around 11h05, a woman believed to be the suspect came out of the toilet of the university wearing a white shirt, black trousers and carrying a pink handbag,” he said.
It is further alleged that the suspect walked to the dustbin near the student gate and threw the foetus in the dustbin and walked off campus.
“The foetus was taken to the Windhoek police mortuary for autopsy,” he said.
The suspect has not yet been arrested, as police investigations continue.
