“FNB Whisky Festival: ‘A Tasting Experience Tailored to Your Palate’,” says FNB Namibia executive officer for retail banking Nangula Kauluma.
FNB Namibia has unveiled its highly anticipated annual Whisky Festival, set to make its debut at Ongwediva on 3 June (Saturday), and Windhoek on 10 June.
The event provides whisky enthusiasts with an unparalleled tasting experience that caters to their individual preferences, from the curious newcomers to seasoned connoisseurs.
“Our festival offers a unique platform for whisky lovers to explore and savour a diverse selection of whiskies from distilleries around the world. With the guidance of whisky experts, guests will learn how to fully appreciate every dram and enhance their whisky journey,” says Kauluma.
The primary objective of the festival is to foster connections between spirit drinkers and industry experts to “facilitate a meaningful exchange of knowledge and passion for excellence between our guests and master distillers, as well as brand ambassadors”.
“This allows attendees to gain insights into the remarkable journeys and experiences behind the brands and products,” says Kauluma.
“True to the FNB brand, our two-day festival will be as distinctive and distinguished as the premium beverages on offer. It promises to cater to a diverse range of attendees, from the bold, young adventurous first-timers to the refined connoisseurs. We encourage everyone to broaden their horizons, share their stories, try something new, and connect with the creators of some of the finest spirits worldwide. We can’t wait to see you there!”
Attendees can look forward to a remarkable array of international whisky brands, including smooth Irish whiskeys, Scottish single malts, blends from the Scottish Highlands and Lowlands, as well as the contrasting flavours of American whiskeys and bourbons. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to explore the complex flavour profiles of South African whiskeys, along with a selection of MCCs from renowned wineries like Verve Cliquot and Lournesford.
The festival will be held on 3 June at the Queen Hall, Ongwediva Trade Fair Centre, and on 10 June at the Windhoek Country Club.
Tickets are available at Webtickets/Pick n Pay for N$250, with a limited number of tickets available at the door for N$300.
