Sanlam, alongside the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board, has called on young Namibians with innovative business ideas to apply for the 2023 Sanlam Bridge programme.

This was confirmed at the launch of the bridge programme in Windhoek on Thursday.

“As Sanlam, we are once again excited to be able to offer young Namibians the opportunity to turn their business dreams into reality through the Sanlam Bridge,” Sanlam spokesperson Laurencia Prinzonsky said.

She said to ensure more Namibians benefit from this programme, the team will select the top 10 candidates who will participate in a pitch facilitated by NIPDB.

Speaking at the same event, Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) business advisory manager Nankelo Amupadhi said the programme will allow the enhancement of the entrepreneurial culture within Namibia.

“Signing this memorandum of understanding commits us to a common goal of enhancing the entrepreneurial culture within Namibia and, more importantly, creating globally competitive MSMEs,” Amupadhi said.

The Sanlam Bridge is a launchpad for Namibian future business leaders who either already have a registered business not older than one year or have a feasible business idea, but lack the financial resources to grow their business or turn their ideas into reality.
