Media personality David Mbeha is the official host of Miss Namibia 2023.
The crowning ceremony will take place at the MTC Dome at Swakopmund.
Mbeha has announced his return to the entertainment industry after a three-year hiatus, saying hosting the pageant is a good platform to launch his comeback.
“Hosting Miss Namibia has been a childhood dream of mine. I have a video of myself when I was 17 years old, pretending to host the pageant. This year, I finally tried it out. It is so exciting to see this dream of mine coming to life,” he says.
Mbeha says he is looking forward to interacting with the contestants and learning about their various projects.
He says he is also looking forward to celebrating Namibian fashion designers.
“I will be dressed by Zuriel. I have such great respect for the designer and his work. I think the outfits we were able to put together are world class and proof of just how talented our designers are. Wearing these outfits makes me feel like a king,” he says.
Mbeha says they have been working hard at rehearsals to ensure a world-class show.
“I think viewers will be blown away. I believe this is the beginning of really great things to come,” he says.
