Rugby will be the main attraction this weekend when the Rugby World Cup gets underway tonight with the hosts France taking on New Zealand in Paris, while Namibia open their account against Italy at Saint Etienne tomorrow. The matches herald in a feast of rugby over the next seven weeks before the final is scheduled to take place on 28 October.
Back home, the finals of the Standard Bank Namibia Schools Rugby Tournament take place at the Hage Geingob Stadium with WHS taking on Windhoek Gymnasium in the u19 Super League final on Saturday afternoon.
In football news the Brave Warriors take on South Africain a friendly match at Orlando Stadium in preparation for upcoming 2024 Chan qualification matches.
The final round of the MTC Netball Premier League takes place at the Khomasdal courts on Saturday, with the champions due to be crowned at the prizegiving ceremony at 17h00.
The MTC Hopsol Youth Football Tournament is also nearing completion with the penultimate round of matches taking place on Saturday.
