Namibia’s 34th independence anniversary celebration will be held at Katima Mulilo in the Zambezi region.
This was announced by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology’s executive director, Audrin Mathe, on Friday.
Mathe said president Nangolo Mbumba will deliver the keynote address on 21 March.
The event will be held under the theme ‘A People United For Prosperity’.
“Independence Day celebrations rotate among the regions,” Mathe said.
“Last year’s event was held at Outapi, Omusati region. This year marks a historic first for the Zambezi region,” he added.
Mathe said attendees can expect a programme featuring cultural performances, musical presentations and various entertainment activities
