Rehoboth family business adds to children’s entertainment

Rehoboth Woodstock Enterprises has improved and revamped their children’s entertainment areas, says marketing and communications manager Bognahn Möller.

The aim is to offer great fun and entertainment for youngsters, says Möller on the improved children’s entertainment because Woodstock is a family oriented business, for families by a family.
She says they are passionate about making the venue an inclusive space catering to families enjoying together with peace of mind, knowing that the children are having fun in a safe and friendly environment.

“We knew we wanted to create a family-friendly space from the moment Woodstock started realising, so we started with a separate playground for the kids, which includes swing sets, slide, seesaw, trampoline, baby pool, and gradually added on as the business grew, a mini rock climbing wall, as well as a big pool with a slide which we’d created using a shipping container as the base and frame,” Möller says.

Over the years various renovations were done, she says.

“We renovated a section upstairs in our pool hall to create a game room, which boasts a number of Playstation 5 and Xbox consoles and games, so as to cater to the different age groups and interests. We have also added a big screen projector, where we have movie nights every other Friday for the kids, as well as a late screenings for the adults, outside under the stars,” she says.

Möller says the indoor five-a-side soccer court is not only for children and has attracted quite a bit of attention. She says it was something they decided to initiate to allow children in the community to have another space to be able to not only let loose, but also build on their existing talents.

Möller says they believe in the well-being of youngsters.

“Having a kiddies area provides a space for families with kids to gather, while they are able to supervise their kids in a safe environment where the kids can socialise with other children and on a larger scale. Having a children’s entertainment area also encourages overall physical and mental well-being via communication and community building in a relaxed environment. It means that parents are more likely to be involved and participate in events or activities which also cater to their needs as parents and to the needs of the children,” she says.

Möller says developing Woodstock comes with their goal to make an impact on the growth of the economy by bringing awareness to what they have to offer as a community and attracting families to spend time together.

“We are always looking at new ways to improve and add to your enjoyment and the enjoyment of your families. During the day we invite kids under 13 years old. We require adult supervision at all times.

“The bar area and pool rooms are not for persons under the ages of 18 and we require an identification document,” she says.

Möller adds that this year they plan to add basketball and volleyball sections to the courts.
