Zambian nearly castrated in Katima attack

KATIMA MULILO – A 42-year-old unidentified Zambian man is in a critical condition at the Katima Mulilo state hospital after he was attacked by three men on February 11.

Police said the attack took place at about 21h00 at Katima Mulilo’s Cowboy location while the injured man was on his way home. The three suspects pulled him “into a dark place” and started twisting his head while one of them allegedly attempted to cut off his private parts.Two of the assailants ran away as soon as the man started screaming but the third man was caught by members of the public.The other two were subsequently apprehended and are now in police custody.The victim is still receiving treatment in the hospital.The police said yesterday that they expected more arrests to be made.The case is still under investigation.The three suspects pulled him “into a dark place” and started twisting his head while one of them allegedly attempted to cut off his private parts.
