A TELEPHONE and data service outage on Sunday will affect about 463 residential and business customers in the majority of Windhoek suburbs, Telecom Namibia announced in a press statement yesterday.
“The customers that will be affected are those connected to both the Multi-Gain Wireless (MGW) and the Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunication (DECT) systems installed on the NBC Tower at Gross Hertzog,” Telecom said. Telecom said telecommunications equipment needed to be relocated in order to improve the reliability of services.Affected customers will not be able to make or receive calls for the whole of Sunday as from 07h00 to midnight.Telecom appealed for understanding and patience.It said any complaints or problems customers might experience after the relocation should be reported to the Customer Service Centre at 1155.Telecom said telecommunications equipment needed to be relocated in order to improve the reliability of services.
