Why Do We Vandalise?

Why Do We Vandalise?

I AM a 22-year-old young man and I was so amazed to see vandalised goods.

On 13 January 2004 I saw a publication in The Namibian, where people or residents twisted and bent street names and indicators. Spraypaint was also used to write and draw Nazi symbols. The Municipality of Windhoek had to spend a few thousand dollars to refurbish and renovate all the damage that was done.Even on private property these cases occurred. The question is that if we are committing such criminal acts to other people’s property like at Medi Clinic, how can we expect investors try to come and invest in the country’s economy? They will be afraid that their businesses will be damaged in the same way.The money that was used was supposed to be used for something more creative than repairing damage.Let’s stop vandalism and not break things down.I hope my letter will encourage all Namibians to do so.Erastus Sebeb WindhoekSpraypaint was also used to write and draw Nazi symbols.
