A WINDHOEK lawyer, Geoffrey Dicks, last week found himself on the wrong side of the court bench following a fatal hit-and-run incident which left a 33-year-old pedestrian dead.
According to a Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Salmi Katshuna, Dicks hit and killed Henry Steven Cloete with a vehicle during the early hours of May 1. He allegedly fled the scene after the accident that occurred on the corner of Nelson Mandela and Barella streets.The legal practitioner later reported to the Police and was arrested.He appeared in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court last week Wednesday on a charge of culpable homicide.He is out on bail of N$ 1 000.He allegedly fled the scene after the accident that occurred on the corner of Nelson Mandela and Barella streets.The legal practitioner later reported to the Police and was arrested.He appeared in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court last week Wednesday on a charge of culpable homicide.He is out on bail of N$ 1 000.
