A Misguided Student

A Misguided Student

ALLOW me a space in your popular newspaper for all Namibians to react to the article that appeared in the Namibian newspaper of June 4 2004 that was titled “President Must Leave Now”.

Dear Namibian student in London (studying whatever you are studying there), I am made to understand by your useless and insulting article about our President that you better concentrate on what you are studying there instead of demanding our President leave now because your study does not have a vision. You are studying for corruption that we don’t want in our independent country.Your article is confusing the nation.I would like to bring this fact to your attention that, yes, a democratic country should have opposition parties, but the manner in which you are opposing the ruling party and its president is abnormal.Whom do you think would be the better candidate from your opposition parties to have brought more development to the country than what has been done by our current head of state? None.Neither would there be national reconciliation in this country. You better pack you bags and come back to Namibia for rehabilitation instead of being there in London studying corruption.Where will you find yourself after your completion of your study? Definitely you don’t have a vision.85% of people in Namibia are happy with the current head of state. You can’t dominate us in our free and independent Namibia with your 15% percent. You are wasting your time.I Kalimba Oshakati Via-emailYou are studying for corruption that we don’t want in our independent country.Your article is confusing the nation.I would like to bring this fact to your attention that, yes, a democratic country should have opposition parties, but the manner in which you are opposing the ruling party and its president is abnormal.Whom do you think would be the better candidate from your opposition parties to have brought more development to the country than what has been done by our current head of state?
