BERLIN – An international Jewish rights group urged the German government yesterday to outlaw neo-Nazi gatherings near synagogues after extremists protested against the construction of one in the western city of Bochum.
In a letter to Justice Minister Brigitte Zypries, Rabbi Abraham Cooper of the US-based Simon Wiesenthal Centre criticised the Federal Constitutional Court for letting the 200-strong rally at a synagogue building site go ahead. – Nampa-Reuters- Nampa-Reuters
