Whose ‘War’ Is Kapia Waging?

Whose ‘War’ Is Kapia Waging?

I HAVE read with regret and shame the article in The Namibian, August 17, 2004 titled: ‘Kapia Claim Shot down’.

The humbug and nonsensical utterance made by SPYL secretary, Paulus Kapia claimed that Nored was sabotaging President Sam Nujoma by cutting the power off while he was speaking at COSDEC, Ondangwa. Doing away with the issues, our young people, leaders of tomorrow, are brainwashed to be come the ‘Ja broer’, empty-vessel and stooges like him.Had the electricity not failed, what would Kapia have told the youth at Oshakati? If you (Kapia) have no issues to raise, keep quiet! You (Kapia) must behave and stop making wild allegations in ‘Ananias Nghifitikeko’ fashion.Electricity power does fail, not only in Ondangwa, e.g. June 01, 2004 almost the entire country was affected by a power blackout. In the capital chaos ensued as traffic lights went dead, offices were unable to use computers, telephones or even to make a cup of coffee. The power utility, NAMPOWER, reportedly said that a veld fire had caused a fault on a supply line from South Africa. Was this also sabotaging president Nujoma?I am only able to come to a conclusion that: Kapia wants to discredit President Nujoma as Kapia is now creating an impression that Nujoma is neither liked nor wanted in this country. He is now letting the world conclude that our President knows little or nothing about electricity.Kapia claimed:1. There are people, purposefully and deliberately, delaying the President’s programs for development (Swapo)2. The President is just being insulted by the citizens, because they are disgruntled.3. The President is being sabotaged by people, in Nored, who always cut off power when he is about to give a speech (Ondangwa). This guy, Kapia, must be brought to order seriously, or he will incite chaos and havoc in this country.Does Kapia think he is President Nujoma’s protector or security guard?Kapia must be told: Sam Nujoma has gone through hard times of the liberation struggle for forty (40) years, before you (Kapia) come to meet and know Swapo in 1989.Does Kapia make these statements with the consent of the President?Paulus Kapia, stop behaving like this! All the people ought to know your tricks now.N Nakandunga OndangwaDoing away with the issues, our young people, leaders of tomorrow, are brainwashed to be come the ‘Ja broer’, empty-vessel and stooges like him.Had the electricity not failed, what would Kapia have told the youth at Oshakati?
