Allow me a space in your daily newspaper to share my opinion with other fellow Namibian, who are employed, should it be in the Public Service or Private Sectors.
Since most of Namibian adapted the colonial working environment, most Namibian are not independent yet. Especially when it comes to the previously disadvantaged group, who are still in services. The, so called bosses or high ranked officials miss-use these people in one way or another just because these people are less educated. To my experience most of our people suffer much, due to what I call miss- use of Power which is done by other fellow selfish individual who are still left with that Apartheid philosophy.Mal treatment at work place is something that most unions should work on; I therefore feel it’s time for most unions to pool up their socks for success. When it comes to people working in rural area and small town ship, for sure much is needed, in order to inform these people about their rights. To be honestly enough these people are miss -used, because they don’t know their job description. In many cases the boss just give the work that he/ she was suppose to do and he/she leave the office, and goes for his or her own business. At the end of the month that fat cheque goes into his/her pocket for the work that was done by someone else who gets a small salary. Is this not corruption of course it’s.Therefore fellow unionist it’s time you focus on these matters. For example many people who are working in Private or even the Public service.Since they started with their work they have never received any in-service training in order to improve their skills. One may ask the employer this Question if you don’t improve your workers, who will do that for you, are you striving for better success or not. Please fellow employers it’s time you do the best for better service.Let’s make Namibia a well organized Nation, that is free from corruption.Thomas Libebe RunduEspecially when it comes to the previously disadvantaged group, who are still in services. Please fellow employers it’s time you do the best for better service.Let’s make Namibia a well organized Nation, that is free from corruption.Thomas Libebe Rundu
