PEOPLE in the Onamatanga and Uutsathima areas in the south-western Omusati Region report that a large veld fire has been raging out of control since the middle of last week.Local people have been fighting the fire, but say it is too large for them to bring under control.
It has been destroying grazing pastures in the cattle-farming area, where many communal farmers from the Omusati, Kunene and Oshana regions graze their livestock.
