LONDON – Portsmouth have paid a club transfer record fee of 4.1 million pounds to sign Zimbabwe international striker Benjani Mwaruwari from French club Auxerre, it was reported on Thursday.
Pompey, battling relegation from the Premiership, have agreed the fee for the 27-year-old, subject to a medical, the BBC claimed.
