WHEN George Bush signed the new National Space Policy document claiming the right for the United States of America to police outer space, he finally underscored what everyone has known for so long.
The US, under George Bush, is undeniably bent on a colonising agenda, which takes no other nation’s opinions into account. The USA has no intention of playing by the rules. It has rationalised the Geneva Convention, it sidesteps the United Nations, and does as it please under the guise of fighting “terrorism”.To live and raise families in conditions of extreme paranoia must be a truly bizarre aspect of life in the USA.To continue believing the hype and the propaganda that everyone is out to “get” the USA and its citizens is devoid of any normal thought processes. What would make any American believe that they are so important in the bigger scheme of things that they are primary targets? It amounts to total arrogance and the belief that civilisation, as we know it, would be the poorer if America were not the player that it is.What is even more noteworthy is the fact that ordinary Americans buy into the subterfuge that justifies the lie, every four years.Which makes one wonder about why they do think. The mere fact that someone as intellectually challenged as the first citizen of their country can convince them that they ought to be the guardians of outer space in the face of everything that they’ve done and are doing, is beyond belief, besides being criminal. We look forward, with eager anticipation, to the next episode of this thrilling and absorbing comedy. If only it were funny!
