More pension pay-out points needed

RUNDU – Residents of the Kavango Region have appealed to the central Government to increase pay points for pensioners in the region, especially at remote villages.

They say pensioners, especially those in remote villages, have to travel long distances to pay points and risk being robbed along the way. There are 159 pay points in Kavango and according to them that is not enough to cover the vast region.”Our pensioners are really suffering, as some of them travel distances of up to 50 kilometres to pay points,” said one of the many callers to the NBC Rukavango Radio call-in programme last week.NampaThere are 159 pay points in Kavango and according to them that is not enough to cover the vast region.”Our pensioners are really suffering, as some of them travel distances of up to 50 kilometres to pay points,” said one of the many callers to the NBC Rukavango Radio call-in programme last week.Nampa
