Streets Not Safe Anymore

Streets Not Safe Anymore

I HAVE come across many incidents where people are robbed of their belongings, but no one in the Justice Department seems to care.

Residential areas are no longer safe to live in, work in or walk. You find people who need help with something and the next minute they take your things.Killing one another over alcohol has also become a habit as criminals or guilty ones are out on bail the next morning. What do you think will happen next in our peaceful country because warring amongst one another leads to taking law into our hands? You report the case to the Police but nothing happens. We have new crime fighters called City Police to help our fellow Namibian Police but the situation is now getting out of hand.Just ask a chief of Police to go out to Katutura Shoprite or Woermann and Brock and tell me how many criminals are standing around waiting for the next victim to appear! All my family members have been victims of robbery and stabbing. The dead person has been buried but the ones who commit crimes are out on bail, without paying for what they have done. Please can some strict laws be passed or are we going to take the law into our own hands? Then maybe the Police will see that we really need help. Why don’t the City Police patrol around our Katutura homes and streets?
