HOW embarrassing is the attitude adopted by the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding the situation of the 11 Cuban doctors? I thought I was living in a democratic country where everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms without any distinctions, but now realise how wrong I was.
There are many refugees from all over this continent – what make the 11 Cuban doctors different from them? How is possible that professionals who came to this country to improve our health services are being treated like criminals, forcing them to live in hiding without money to support their needs? This situation is unacceptable.
