THE Brave Warriors will engage Angolan league champions Premeiro De Agosto in a warm-up match at the Independence Stadium tomorrow.

Kick-off is at 19h00. The Angolan side, which arrived in the country this week, will also be involved in several other friendly matches as part of their pre-season camp.The visitors will next week Tuesday play the Erongo XI at Walvis Bay, before they meet a Windhoek Invitational side in Windhoek on June 15.They will also play a match against a league side on June 17 in Windhoek.Brave Warriors left flanker Meraai Swartbooi also plays professionally for the Angolan side and has been praised by the team’s assistant coach, Miller Gomes, as being one of their star players.Swartbooi is currently part of the national team which is preparing for the African Nations Cup qualifier against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in Windhoek on June 16.Gomes praised Swartbooi, saying he played a big part in the team’s league campaign and has scored several goals for them before he got injured.Brave Warriors coach Ben Bamfuchile said he would rest some of the players for the match.”Players such as captain Robert Nauseb and several others will be rested for this game.We will use at least 50 per cent of the team which played at the weekend, as we are trying different styles of play.It will also be good to play against the Angolan team because they will present a different style of play which will prove valuable for us in our preparations,” he said.The Angolan side, which arrived in the country this week, will also be involved in several other friendly matches as part of their pre-season camp.The visitors will next week Tuesday play the Erongo XI at Walvis Bay, before they meet a Windhoek Invitational side in Windhoek on June 15.They will also play a match against a league side on June 17 in Windhoek.
