CHRISTOPHE Lambert, a member of the Technical Committee of the Federation of International Gymnastics (FIG), recently shared his expertise during a four-day gymnastics training camp held at Walvis Bay.
Lambert is an expert in tumbling and trampoline and has two World Championship gold medals to prove that he has a lot of expertise to share with Namibian coaches and gymnasts. Over 30 gymnasts from all over Namibia attended this exceptional programme earlier this month.The gymnasts trained for up to six hours a day while their coaches were guided in various coaching methods.Lambert said Namibia has very good quality gymnasts with superb determination and that he would motivate the sponsorship of equipment when he handed in his report at FIG after this training programme.This is the second time this year that Walvis Bay Gymnastics Club has hosted such a high-profile gymnastics programme.All sections of gymnastics are aiming to bring international experts to Namibia in an effort to exploit the talent found in the country.Over 30 gymnasts from all over Namibia attended this exceptional programme earlier this month.
