Linyanti Gravel To Tar

Linyanti Gravel To Tar

IT is mind boggling that the road in question has been ignored for 17 years of independence.

The road is often used by its locals in Caprivi region and tourists via Sangwali and Lyanshulu areas up to Kongola. Constituents in Katima Rural, Sibbinda and Linyanti constituencies had registered their feelings and complaints on a number of occasions both at meetings and NBC’s Open Line programme but to no avail.May I learn from the Councillors as recent incumbents and servants of your constituents, as to: * When will it be tarmarked.* What makes the issue so difficult * Did you ever cogitate and debate it as one of the pressing issues, be it regionally or nationally? * Do you contemplate to have it reviewed now as something already on your plan of action? * How will you canvas for political support if road infrastructure is not a vital aspect? The question of budget (for 17 years now) while others have enjoyed and continue benefitting as well as that of being new incumbents won’t be cogent rejoinders and reasons. The issue should be taken into account and the affected people in those constituencies are in dire need of it to be tarred. Please, bear in mind that the road is hazardous to your people’s health and safety. And from the agriculture point of view, dust kills plants! Let us all enjoy the national cake equally. As councillors you should work with vigour towards attainment of your set goals.Eventually, ensuring that your term of office is to the advantage of both your own people and yourselves and be instrumental to development.J.Kawana, OmusatiConstituents in Katima Rural, Sibbinda and Linyanti constituencies had registered their feelings and complaints on a number of occasions both at meetings and NBC’s Open Line programme but to no avail.May I learn from the Councillors as recent incumbents and servants of your constituents, as to: * When will it be tarmarked.* What makes the issue so difficult * Did you ever cogitate and debate it as one of the pressing issues, be it regionally or nationally? * Do you contemplate to have it reviewed now as something already on your plan of action? * How will you canvas for political support if road infrastructure is not a vital aspect?
