Tribute To Sizimbo

FRANCIS Fani Sizimbo was laid to rest on the 7th of September 2007, after being ill.

He was buried in Botswana’s Dukwe refugee camp, where he was exiled as a Namibian refugee. Francis Sizimbo, a former DTA member of parliament in Namibia’s first inaugurated National Council, represented the Linyanti constituency from 1993 to 1998.A man who will be remembered by many as a dedicated and brilliant teacher. For others, they will think of Sizimbo as a gifted singer and choirmaster, whilst Namibians will look back to the Situngu saga with Botswana, and how patriotic a Namibian he was.A true hero, and son of the soil.Late Sizimbo, a servant of the people, was also courageous in defending the best interest of his people, and community that he represented – that he gave up his personal comfort to suffer with many.Indeed, a man for the people.May his soul rest in peace.Mulife Muchali Vancouver – CanadaFrancis Sizimbo, a former DTA member of parliament in Namibia’s first inaugurated National Council, represented the Linyanti constituency from 1993 to 1998.A man who will be remembered by many as a dedicated and brilliant teacher. For others, they will think of Sizimbo as a gifted singer and choirmaster, whilst Namibians will look back to the Situngu saga with Botswana, and how patriotic a Namibian he was.A true hero, and son of the soil.Late Sizimbo, a servant of the people, was also courageous in defending the best interest of his people, and community that he represented – that he gave up his personal comfort to suffer with many.Indeed, a man for the people.May his soul rest in peace.Mulife Muchali Vancouver – Canada
