Earlier this year, Namibia2Go, a leading Namibian-owned car rental company, announced the establishment of a new facility at Hosea Kutako International Airport.
The ceremony, held on 19 January, marked a significant milestone for the company as it prepares to relocate from Windhoek to the Hosea Kutako International Airport premises.
The new Namibia2Go property, acquired in early 2020, will span across two erven in the Sungate precinct.
“We are excited to announce our partnership with architect Sven-Erik Staby from Staby Design, in collaboration with main contractor Gaia Investments, for this groundbreaking project,” says Alain Noirfalise, Gondwana’s operations director.
Set to open in September this year, the new facility will offer a seamless experience for travellers, providing convenient access to Namibia2Go’s car rental services right at the airport.
The premises will feature an intimate guest area designed for smooth transitions, including a welcoming main building for meeting and greeting, induction, and vehicle handover under a shaded roof.
The adjacent erf will be dedicated to technical aspects, featuring a mechanical repairs and tyre shop, an onsite car wash with its own water filtration system, and over 200 parking spots.
Namibia2Go has grown significantly over the years, relocating from Bismarck Street to its current location in Bassingthwaighte Street, Klein Windhoek, in 2019.
Today, with a team of 32 members and a diverse fleet of 336 rental vehicles across various categories, the existing space has become limited.
The new facility will cater to the growing demand for car rental services, offering a comprehensive and hassle-free travel solution for tourists and business travellers alike.
