A woman and her daughter died in a fire at Walvis Bay on Wednesday morning.
A total of six shacks were gutted in the blaze, while the walls and the windows of the main house were also damaged.
The woman and her daughter have been identified as Lineekela Ndeumyema (38) and Linea Kombada (16).
Erongo police spokesperson inspector Ileni Shapumba says the fire alledgedly started in the victims’ shack at Kuisebmond, which was adjacent to four others.
Their next of kin have been informed of the incident and police investigations continue.
