I wish to express my sincere appreciation of the remarkable initiatives spearheaded by both the Namibian government and NamWater in sustaining water infrastructure and accessibility within our beloved region.

Water is not only a fundamental element of life, but is also a crucial catalyst for socio-economic development. The tireless efforts of the Namibian government, guided by strategic frameworks, such as the National Development Plan 5 and the Harambee Prosperity Plan II for Vision 2030, underscore a resolute commitment to ensuring every Namibian has access to clean and sufficient water resources.

The Ohangwena 2 Wellfield project stands as a testament to our unwavering determination to address the pressing water demands of our region. Through careful planning and diligent execution, this project promises not only reliable water supply, but also hope for a brighter future. 

This groundbreaking ceremony marks a pivotal moment in our collective effort to enhance water supply infrastructure and uplift the livelihoods of our communities.

 I would like to express my profound appreciation to the Namibian government, NamWater, and all parties committed to the successful completion of this great project. Your constant dedication and planning are vital to ensuring a sustainable water supply for the Ohangwena region.

Furthermore, we must recognise the critical importance of responsible water usage and infrastructure maintenance. As we embark on this journey to enhance water accessibility within the Ohangwena region, let us pledge to safeguard our precious water resources and infrastructure. By ensuring their proper maintenance and sustainable usage, we can guarantee their longevity for the benefit of present and future generations.

In conclusion, I call upon all stakeholders, government entities, community leaders, and residents of this region to unite in support of efforts aimed at securing a prosperous future for the Ohangwena region.
