No new faces for Warriors

NO new faces will be included in the current Brave Warriors side which beat Zimbabwe 4-2 in a 2010 World/African Nations Cup qualifier in Windhoek last weekend, says head coach Tom Saintfiet.

He said the current crop of players who did duty for the national team are disciplined, played exceptionally well and he believes in their abilities and will therefore keep them for the future. He said he wants to work with them for at least the next two years, but would also like to have a cover for each position in the side not in the too distant future.”I need at least one player who can play as cover for the current ones in the team, but I am not going to make whole new changes for that purpose soon,” he said.Saintfiet expects to have a friendly match on November 18 in Windhoek, and wants to include three to four new faces in the team for that match. It is not yet confirmed which country Namibia will meet on that date. But the coach emphasised that the door will remain open for players who still need to prove themselves when the league starts.”I am happy with the current team and will of course not close the door for any other players to come in the future and be part of this group.
