THE case in which a Gobabis woman is challenging the sale of her house for N$15 000 to settle a debt will be heard this week.
Suspended Messenger of the Court, Gideon Retief Bosman, is said to have sold the house to his son and assistant, also named Gideon Retief Bosman.
The case is scheduled to be heard in the Gobabis Magistrate’sCourt on Friday.Normal Tjombe of the LAC confirmed that the belongings of Aletta /Gôagoses had been removed from the house and that Bosman had moved in despite knowing that there was an appeal in the pipeline.The house, said to be worth N$280 000, was arbitrarily sold off to cover a bank debt that had its roots in a wrangle over N$1 000 which /Gôagoses owed Standard Bank.Now she wants the court to order a high-level investigation.The Magistrate’s Court Rules state that ‘no messenger or person acting on their behalf shall purchase any property offered for sale for himself or for any other person’./Gôagoses claims this rule was violated.
