Elizabeth, Nkenna and Emma battle it out

THE girls are up this week! Monday’s nominations went towards Mzamo, Nkenna and Emma before Eddie’s switched it up, swapping ‘his only true friend’ Mzamo and replacing her with Elizabeth.

That means Elizabeth, Nkenna and Emma are up for possible eviction this week. It will be interesting to see them battle it out. It’s just a pity Elizabeth doesn’t know she is up; it would have been dramatic to see her cracking under the pressure. None of the three nominated housemates is particularly popular, making this week’s decision more of a tactical one. Countries across Africa are already scheming and analysing the alliances to see who to support to ensure their favourite stays in the game. Fear and Loathing in the Big Brother Africa House Elizabeth is disliked by some viewers because she has repeatedly rejected Kevin’s advances but continues to stay close to him — completely sending out mixed signals. While Emma was well liked in the beginning. Mainly due to her good looks. Recently, the Black Cat has had her fair share of criticism. She’s been described as boring and thinking that she is untouchable. Nkenna too. Shame, she is even disliked by some of her very own fellow Nigerians! Mostly for superficial reasons though, for being too village and apparently ugly but you must consider that Nigeria’s vote is currently split in three. There will be those Nigerians that don’t like her and prefer either Geraldine or Kevin. And one thing I can say is that BBA fans can get quite mean and nasty. They attack housemates because of things like their height, age and bodies. Fans write some of the nastiest things, on the SMS strap line and forums. With the countdown to the finale and the announcement of the winner within sight, individual African countries are stepping it up in order to ensure their favourite stays to the end. As it is in the house at the moment, there are two camps with Itai – the chameleon, slithering around somewhere in the middle. Eddie, Mzamo and Nkenna are close, while Kevin’s alliance has far more numbers. Voting with him is Elizabeth, Emma, Geraldine and Leonel. Well, this is a game of numbers and Eddie is clearly the underdog. Kevin, who is hugely popular, has called Eddie his ‘mortal enemy’ and often says that Eddie is his biggest competition in the game. He and Nkenna’s rift was actually caused when he accused her of being in love with Eddie. Last week, while Nkenna was HOH, Kevin tried to convince her to put Eddie’s head on the chopping block but Nkenna refused saying that she likes Eddie. That he’s always been nice to her and that she’s comfortable with him. She also told Geraldine that she wants Eddie there to the end and there is no way that she was going to switch him and put him up for eviction. ‘His (Kevin’s) ego and pride can go to hell’As Namibians, we can’t afford to see Nkenna being evicted because that would leave Eddie and Mzamo very vulnerable to being nominated, perhaps even against each other in future and Kevin does seem rather determined to get rid of our guy. So it’s important to remember that a vote for Nkenna is a vote for Eddie at this stage of the game. Create A GardenMeanwhile, back in the house, it seems the garden has been uprooted in an effort to get the housemates to tend to the soil. The Create a Garden task started yesterday. The guys and gals were given gardening clothes and sent out to the garden with tools to turn and then fertilise the earth. Later in the day they had to brush up on various ‘green’ facts, getting to know the different types, shapes and sizes of plants. Their task will run until Thursday and it will involve designing and planting the garden, ensuring it looks presentable by task presentation time.
