The International University of Management (IUM) has announced its Eenhana campus will commence with full academic programmes in January 2025.
This was announced by Gerry Munyama at a press conference at Eenhana in the Ohangwena region on Monday.
The construction of the campus commenced in 2023 and the IUM has since extended gratitude to the leadership of the region for its support and cooperation throughout the project.
The campus, which will be equipped with hostel facilities, will also offer courses such as certificates in water resource management, bachelor degrees of nursing and a diploma in health and wellness studies.
“This region is sitting on water, with aquifers as well. We can produce so much food for this country from this region,” says Munyama.
Eenhana deputy mayor Selma Kawiwa also noted that having institutions of higher learning in the region would be an advantage for students and parents.
“Students will no longer have to drive long distances to get to universities nor struggle with accommodation. This is a great thing and we appreciate it in this region,” noted Kawiwa.
