The Government Institutions Pension Fund (GIPF) is partnering with the Ondangwa Private Hospital to provide wellness screenings to GIPF beneficiaries who attend the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair (OATF).
The wellness screening services will include general medical screenings for vitals, such as blood pressure readings, Body Mass Index (BMI) calculations, cholesterol testing, prostate screening (rapid tests), chronic medication compliance, glucose testing and more.
In a statement yesterday, the fund said it will be joined by other partners such as Kuleni Financial Services, the Public Service Medical Aid Scheme and the Namibia Revenue Agency. These partners will provide pension related services pertaining to benefits, medical aid and tax related issues.
The fund will also offer a wide range of services to members, including pensioners and beneficiaries such as spouses and children, such as biometric enrolment and verification, update on membership status, pension benefits, claim procedures, submission and claims status at the OATF.
Members may acquire benefit and income statement printouts and receive advice on preparing for retirement and other general queries.
In addition, the GIPF will also host preretirement workshops at Omuthiya on 21 August, Oshakati on 28 August and Ongwediva on 29 August. These workshops are aimed at members between the ages of 50 to 59.
“The GIPF’s values of service excellence and care drive the fund to ensure that we bring our services closer to our members,” said general manager of marketing and stakeholder engagement Edwin Tjiramba.
