The One Economy’s ninth fundraising soiree starts at the Mercure Conference Centre today from 18h00. Seats cost N$2 500.
For art lovers, the Namibia Arts Association’s ‘Show On Collection’ starts today at 18h00. Entry is free and the exhibition will run till 27 September.
Pop in to the 11th National Ceramics Biennale at the National Art Gallery of Namibia today from 18h00.
ZR Ballet Studio will stage a recital of ‘Coppelia’ by Robyn van Wyk at the National Theatre of Namibia today and tomorrow. Tickets cost N$220.

The City of Windhoek’s Spring Market takes place at Droombos on Saturday.

Get your ‘tekkies’ on for the Fitness Mania Spring Festival, a day of getting into shape in a fun and social way at the Old Power Station on Saturday. Entry is N$120 per person.
The Anamulenge Fundraising Dinner takes place at Welwitchia University’s Outapi Campus on Saturday. The dress code is black and white, and tickets will set you back N$1 500 for a table of 10.
Catch the screening of Senga Brockerhoff’s all female musical ‘Every Woman’ at The Village Opera House on Saturday.
The House of Poulton’s Met Gala takes place at the Mecure Hotel on Saturday. The theme is La Dolce Vita.

The Dunes Restaurant at Avani Hotel will host a Secretary Day Lunch on Wednesday, 4 September for N$350 per person. There will be lunch, goodies and live entertainment.
On Friday, 6 September there’s a ‘Beeginer’ Beekeeping Class where you can learn all about bees, breeding, harvesting and more over two or three days.

Saturday, 7 September will be a busy day. Firstly, there’s the Iconic Music Fest at the Gustav Voigts Centre Parking Lot, featuring South Africa’s Kwesta and Sir Trill, as well as Lioness, KP Illest, DJ Alba Nalo and others. Then there’s Deep In The City, an outdoor festival with live music acts, taking place at the Windhoek Showgrounds. Tickets are available on Webtickets.
And of course you could go to the Spring Market at Lime Cafe, featuring kiddies activities, thrift stalls and cocktails.
