REVEALED …

The remains of a house in the sunken village of Kallios in Greece are revealed due to the receding water level of Mornos artificial lake. Over the past two years the level of the lake, which serves as a water supply to Athens, has receded by more than 35 metres. In 1980 when the lake was made by constructing a dam in the Mornos River, 80 houses along with a church and primary school in the village of Kallio were evacu-ated and submerged.
