The Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) inaugural two-day national elective conference, where its National Assembly list will be voted for, has started.
One hundred and twelve candidates from all 14 regions will vote for 96 members to go to parliament.
The conference is led by IPC president Panduleni Itula, vice president Trevino Forbes, national general secretary Christine !Aochamus, and national chairperson Brian Black.
After the opening, chief returning officer lawyer Dirk Conradie will explain the election process to the candidates, and voting is set to start after 16h00.
The conference will discuss the manifesto on Friday, and launch it on Saturday.
Party national spokesperson Imms Nashinge says they are looking for merit, qualifications, and experience in candidates representing IPC at the National Assembly.
