Government employees who are currently active on the payroll system will receive their tax refunds back pay on 7 October, the NBC reports.
According to the national broadcaster, this also means the adjusted tax changes will reflect on their October payslips.
All employers are expected to adjust the Pay As You Earn deductions and reimburse employees backdated to 1 March this year.
This comes after finance minister Iipumbu Shiimi, during his budget tabling earlier this year, announced income tax changes to bring relief to consumers.
This report first appeared on the NBC digital platform.
