Trigon Metals, which owns Kombat Mine, has resolved the administrative error that delayed the payment of staff salaries on Wednesday.
The mine on Thursday confirmed that all workers were paid.
Head of operations Fanie Muller said the delay was caused by incorrect banking details for two employees, which led to the entire payment batch being rejected by the bank.
“Trigon salaries are now reflecting. It was simply an admin issue, where the bank rejected the payment due to a couple of employees providing incorrect banking details. Please update your article accordingly,” said Muller.
After workers raised concern over the lack of communication, Trigon addressed the issue on Thursday morning, assuring staff that the glitch had been fixed.
