Ndinelago ‘Ndina’ Emosho was declared the winner of the international Miss Tourism Africa pageant in Lagos, Nigeria, on Tuesday night.
Emosho (27) is a local model and past Miss Namibia contestant.
Emosho also won the best national costume award in the grand finale.
Her costume, titled ‘Queen of the North, Leader of Nutrition,’ was designed by Exclusive Artworks and Wear, and was inspired by the omahangu plant and its rich cultural heritage, which also represents strength and resilience.
Miss Tourism Africa International is the continent’s premier tourism competition platform, designed to highlight the continent’s many wonders and attractions.
Emosho plans to use the platform to inspire others to pursue their dreams as well as promote Namibia’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty to boost tourism.
“I will continue to advocate for quality education through my education project, EduPower Namibia, to ensure a better future for all children,” Emosho says.
She walks away with £2 000, about N$46 000, among other prizes.
