Ogilvy Namibia announces Pritchard as new chief executive officer

Advertising agency Ogilvy Namibia has announced Megan Pritchard as the company’s new chief executive officer.

Pritchard, who celebrates her 10-year anniversary with the advertising and marketing agency on 1 October, was appointed as a shareholder in April.

“She has played a pivotal role as operations director for the past five years, contributing to the agency’s operational success and strategic growth,” reads a statement from the company released on Wednesday.

As chief executive, Pritchard will now focus on long-term strategies, financial stewardship, and driving the operational vision of the business.

Rozanne van der Merwe, who succeeded Anny Mouton, founder of the agency, as managing director in 2017, will continue in her role.

“Megan has been instrumental in shaping the operational backbone of this agency,” says Van der Merwe.

“Her leadership and insight have already contributed so much to Ogilvy Namibia’s success, and I’m excited to see how she will drive our future vision,” she says.

The leadership transition comes one week after the successful launch of the Ogilvy Academy, an initiative aimed at shaping the future of creative talent in Namibia.

“I am honoured to step into the chief executive role and excited to work closely with Rozanne and our entire team to drive innovation and meaningful results for our clients,” says Pritchard.
