In probably the match of the tournament, each team won a set to force a third set tie-breaker. In a nailbiting final set, the tie-breaker extended into extra time, before Sack and Krafft emerged victorious with a nailbiting 18-16 win.
The third-place playoff between Kesselmann and Johannes and Fidden Silinda and Johannes Militzer was forfeited by both teams due to exhaustion after a gruelling day of competition.
