Be Free, Namibian Children

As the government you have to look ahead.

You have to multiply care centres for needy children and their family throughout Namibia by providing education, training and physical and psychological support.

Children and the youth are not responsible for the social environment they find themselves in. They aren’t the cause of the challenging living conditions they sometimes face. They must be given a dignified life and education for a better future.

Namibian institutions must give homes to needy and disadvantaged children. Young mothers in need, as well as pupils and students, need food, clothes, school uniforms, transport, toiletries, electricity and water, as well as cleaning materials and school and tuition fees.

Children must be taught the word of God, preparing them spiritually and keeping them off the streets, as well as catering for those whose parents cannot afford to do so.

Institutions and the government must develop a thriving community which recognises each child as a unique individual. Give them steps to success. Provide an environment in which young children can become active and healthy members of their communities so they can sustainably support themselves and their children, who may have special needs.

The government should promote an environment in which orphans and vulnerable children are cared for and supported mentally, physically, socially, morally and spiritually, with an emphasis on education, nutrition and social support to facilitate a meaningful life.
