PDM announces list of candidates for National Assembly election

The Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) has announced the final list of its candidates for the National Assembly election in November.

The list of candidates includes PDM president McHenry Venaani’s nominees and candidates chosen at the party’s electoral college in Windhoek over the past weekend.

PDM secretary general Manuel Ngaringombe announced the names on Tuesday morning.

The PDM has occupied 16 of the 96 elected seats in the National Assembly since the 2019 election.

The top 16 names on the PDM’s parliamentary list are:

  2. Winnie Moongo (presidential nominee)
  3. Ricky Vries
  4. Rosa Mbinge-Tjeundo
  5. Inna Hengari (presidential nominee)
  6. Nico Smit
  7. Sydney Ndumbah
  8. Geoffrey Mwilima
  9. Jennifer van der Heever
  10. Max Katjimune (presidential nominee)
  11. Sonja Smith (presidential nominee)
  12. Roger Nautoro
  13. Roberto Dirkse (presidential nominee)
  14. Johannes Martin
  15. Elma Dienda (presidential nominee)
  16. Nimrod Haraseb.
